Blizzard selling Gold? Well, Sort Of.

So Blizzard has announced that they will be selling (For Real Monies) a pet that is not Bound. You will be able to sell it on the AH. So people will be able to buy the pet for real money and then turn around in game and sell it for gold if they like.

Obviously this is not a perfect or guaranteed $ to Gold conversion as no one knows what the value of the pet will be in Gold or what the demand for it will be. I am guessing though it won’t take long to find out and the conversion will begin.

I really don’t know how I feel about this, but in a sense it feels a little dirty.

You can already buy unscratched TCG loot codes and sell the tradable item on the AH with the full blessings of blizzard. This just happens to be more direct and obvious.

hopefully they grandfather in all the other blizzard store items (sparkly pony etc). I have refused to buy them simply because I am poor irl and have 100K gold in game WITH NOTHING TO BUY! and every time blizzard has put up a new item for real money I personally felt like blizzard was intentionally spitting in my face … so I refused to buy them as much as I wanted them.

I will definitely be buying this off the AH

Really? I found the sparkle pony to be pretty disappointing.

I was not aware TCG loot was trade able once you redeemed the code in game.
