A kitty look at the Plagueworks.
So in the latest wing we have 3 new bosses to contend with.
- Rotface – As kitty pretty easy. Nom butt, when you get the Mutated Infection run out to the kiter of the large ooze and make sure to let the small ooze spawn before you run back into melee. Nothing wipes a group faster than having a big ooze in melee so it is real important to get it out and not have it follow you back to the boss. Run and spread out when Rotface casts Explosion and start all over again. Berserk when your raid decides to use Heroism, we burn it right away.
- Festergut – More butt nom of course. Run through Fester when he starts spewing on another player and keep behind him. Make sure when the tank or another melee get the spore to get right up underneath the boss or position yourself wherever you need to be to get inoculated. If you are 1 of 2 melee that get the spore be prepared to run out either to a ranged group or just away from everyone.
- Prof – Moar DPS on the buttz. When oozes spawn be ready to kitty charge or dash to get on them ASAP. Save your Berserk for phase 3. Wear gear that has more burst dmg in mind as you won’t even be on the Prof for very long either. Avoid the bottles he puts down and ooze on the floor. If you get targeted by the orange ooze consider switching to bear and using barkskin and some HP regen talents to reduce the damage you are taking. This only works if the ooze has been slowed, otherwise kitty dash might be better or use a kitty charge to the Prof if it will help get distance from the ooze.
Good Luck, more to come as the Blood wing comes this week.

Nice guide, just a couple of things though:
1. Don’t use Berserk with Heroism(/Bloodlust). The haste boost from Heroism means your going to get OOC procs. During a Berserk an OOC proc is worth 21 energy when spend on Shred (2.1 seconds of energy regen), outside of a Berserk an OOC proc is worth 42 energy (4.2 seconds of energy regen). So effectively any extra OOC procs you gain from Heroism have their value halved if you’re also Berserking.
2. We use a nice little tactic on 10man Festergut. I start the fight in bear form (full kitty spec and gear) and tank the boss at the start until I’ve got two-three stacks of his debuff, leading to a 20-30% DPS boost for the next 100 seconds.
Few quick things I think would also be helpful for some people on Putricide.
If you stand near max melee range on Putricide you won’t ever have the choking gas bombs dropped on your head. If you mess up and a bomb does get dropped on your head you have about a second and a half to get away from it before it spews out the gas that actually gives you the hit debuff. Also, doublecheck the time til choking gas bombs when a green ooze is going to spawn.
You can easily get off more than one berserk in the fight as well. Pop one during p1 no more than a minute into the fight, and your berserk will be usable again in p3 in 10 man. In 25 you can easily get 3 berserks with a similar rule.
Again, some awesome suggestions!
